The rampart circuit, 3 kilometers long, allows you to walk around the upper town while enjoying spectacular views of the rolling landscapes of the Montreuillois region. On a clear day, you can even see the sea in the distance. This walk, accessible to all, is dotted with explanatory panels and benches for breaks. At every turn, breathtaking panoramas and a peaceful atmosphere await you, ideal for an outdoor excursion. The ramparts of Montreuil-sur-Mer are accessible on foot from the estate. Montreuil-sur-Mer reveals its charms along a pleasant, tree-lined walk of about 3 kilometers. As you walk along its ramparts built between the 13th and 17th centuries, let yourself be surprised by the richness of its military heritage and the peaceful atmosphere of the area. A perfect moment to combine historical discovery and a nature walk.
From the Citadel esplanade, begin your walk by following the path along the ramparts. Along the way, you will pass points of interest such as the Vierge des Remparts (Our Lady of the Ramparts) and the Boulogne Gate. The route offers magnificent views of the Lower Town of Montreuil-sur-Mer and the surrounding countryside. The loop will bring you back to your starting point at the Citadel esplanade. Montreuil-sur-Mer is an ideal getaway combining heritage, culture, and the art of living, to be enjoyed for a day or more.
